Class Note 2005
Issue
September-October 2026
Class Note 2005. Hi, ’05s—a couple of updates below. Please keep them coming!
Jetti Gibson was promoted from lieutenant commander to commander and is now senior officer in the U.S. Navy. Her formal title is “Commander, JAG Corp., U.S. Navy,” effective June 1. Congratulations on this achievement!
Brent Reidy, director of the research libraries at New York Public Library (NYPL), had the honor of hosting Her Majesty Queen Camilla during her visit to N.Y.C. in late April. Brent showed her majesty (along with Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour) NYPL treasures, including the first printing of the Declaration of Independence. The visit celebrated international literacy and shared U.K.-U.S. literary ties, culminating in the donation of a specially made replica of the missing “Roo” stuffed animal to the library’s Winnie-the-Pooh collection.
Jon Hampton has agreed to serve as ’05 representative to Alumni Council for a three-year term. Thank you to Neha (Kulkarni) Raithatha for her service in this role for the prior three years.
Finally, Kate Carolyn was elected incoming president of Alumni Council and Kate Strayer-Bnton was elected to the alumni liaison committee.
