Class Note 1995
Issue
September-October 2026
Class Note 1995. After a timely tip from a mutual friend that Jonathan Lind might have some big news, I reached out to him to catch up. He wrote, “After 26 years with the same organization in Chicago, I decided to leave my position as president of Endeavor Swedish Hospital to join Beth Israel Leahy Health as president of Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth (Massachusetts) Hospital. This brings my wife of 29 years, Jill, and I closer to my family and our oldest daughter, Sofia, who lives and teaches preschool in Boston. Our youngest daughter, Hanna, is a senior at University of Wisconsin-Madison and is spending the summer working with her cousin at an oceanfront restaurant on Cape Cod [Massachusetts]. We are excited to be back in New England and reconnecting with friends and classmates. We are back to apartment living while we get to know the area and look for our next home. Our dog is super confused about her new ‘yard.’ I would love to connect with anyone in the area and re-engage with the Dartmouth community.” Sending best wishes and congratulations to Jonathan and Jill for this big move!
We announced a new slate of class officers last summer at our reunion, but in this group are some members of our class who have been volunteering faithfully for years—among them, Raj Shrestha, who has been our class webmaster since 2010. Raj has worked in the government software field for the past 23 years, and he is currently a senior program manager at Leidos, a government contracting company, managing software programs at the National Institutes of Health. He lives in Potomac, Maryland, just outside of D.C. He has four kids—two of whom have graduated from college and another who is about to start.
Raj has been working closely with Charlotte Shropshire, class vice president of communications, to revamp our class website (1995.dartmouth.org) and all of our class social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter—links on the class homepage). If you are not a big social media user, the homepage also features current news and updates on events and meetups to help stay connected. And if you—like me—forget at some point every year whether you’ve paid your class dues for the current fiscal year, Raj has got us covered: The website now allows you to check your status. You can also read more about the class projects that our dues help support through the Rockefeller First Year Initiative and Dartmouth Partners in Community Service. Kaja Fickes and I will be working to update the Class Notes pages, and as always, we welcome hearing your news or tips about friends we should reach out to. Seriously—please brag to us about your friends!
