Class Note 1967. Unless you’ve been hiding in a cave and we haven’t found you yet, you’ve been bombarded with messages urging your engagement, support, attendance, and participation in the upcoming 60th reunion of the great class of 1967 June 14-16, 2027. President Sam Ostrow, reunion chair for life Bruce Pacht, and the engagement team (which includes John Manaras, John Lobitz, and George McIlrath among others) have put together a reunion plan that will be a joyful celebration of all our past contributions to the College and, importantly, as our last big gathering, we plan to have one heck of a party—empty the treasury and have a blowout! It will also provide a chance to see firsthand the transformation of campus, a remarkable expansion and much-needed upgrade of student and faculty housing, classroom, and lab spaces that provide programs unknown to us back in the day and an arts complex that’s the envy of the Ivy League. As Sam Ostrow observed, although the spaces and mix of students have changed, importantly what remains unchanged from 1967 is the ambitious drive for knowledge and the pursuit of very good times. For most of us mahjong may have replaced beer pong, but next June will demonstrate that even after 60 years we will continue to keep on truckin’, so stay tuned for more details in the months ahead!
