Class Note 2010

Class Note 2010. What a wonderful time I had at our 15th reunion in Hanover last June. To me, everyone looked the same, though I am sure that is a delusion of old age. I was certain that I had outgrown playing beer pong in a fraternity basement, but there I was, business casual, drinking Keystone Light out of a cheap plastic cup. The house was gracious enough to allow alums to join for meetings, and we even had a “brothers vs. uncs” boat race, which the uncs lost by a wide margin.
Since the inglorious defeat, I’ve heard from a number of classmates from across the country with various updates. A heartfelt thank you to all who responded to my solicitations.
Eli Mitchell returned to Hanover for Camp Granite in her final year as a “young alum” raising money for the college. She enjoyed spending time with classmates Danny Gobaud, Simone Stone, and Steven Cheng, and she extends her gratitude to all those who donated to the Dartmouth College Fund as part of the Granite Challenge.
Danielle Fuschetti launched her own law firm representing employees in California, where she has spent most of her career, and in Vermont, her new home. Danielle was recently married and lives outside of Burlington. She would love to reconnect with alumni in or passing through the area.
On the topic of the legal profession, Sierra Steele will be celebrating her graduation from Notre Dame Law School this May.
Marlon Alebiosu and his wife, Grace, a former Stanford basketball player, are enjoying the arrival of their daughter Baby Ava, now age 5 months. He works in private equity in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Also enjoying parenthood is Caitlin (Johnson) Studdard, a stay-at-home mom with children Gabriel (8), Cecilia (5), Francis (3), and Matthew (1). She volunteers as a Cub Scout den leader and a religious educator at their church, and she loves finding ways to help her children enjoy an outdoorsy Vermont childhood.
Continuing our young family updates is Kathleen Behan, who has four children with her husband. Beatrix (8) and Felix (6) have been joined by Rose (4) and newborn Claire. Kathleen lives in Ontario, Canada, and works as a career counselor at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law.
Zoe Lawrence and her husband welcomed their second child, Ethan.
After five years at the law firm of Moore & Van Allen, Evan Nogay recently left private practice to take an in-house role as director of legal for high purity quartz with Sibelco North America Inc., based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Outside of work, life is good for Evan in Charlotte, where he lives with his wife, Annelise, and their 4-year-old poodle Ivy—named for both the athletic conference and the invasive species that continues to give him fits in the yard. Evan hopes to connect with fellow classmates soon and promises a game of pong or a glass of Kentucky’s finest for those who find themselves in the Queen City.
