Class Note 2007

Issue

July-August 2026

Class Note 2007. Yuki Kondo-Shah, inspired by Season 3 of The Diplomat, shared, “My family and I moved to Sapporo, Japan, in August after three magical years in London! I started as the principal officer at the U.S. consulate general here covering Hokkaido and four northern prefectures in Japan. It’s great to be back in Japan, and I’m especially looking forward to joining the Niseko Green Dartmouth ski weekend in March!” Yuki also shared how excited she is for our 20th reunion in summer 2027, and she’s already lining up coverage for her work at the consulate so she can bring her girls to Hanover.
Kate Coyle and her husband, Tim, welcomed a baby girl last fall. Grace Collins arrived on November 13, 2025. Kate’s baby shower in October included numerous Dartmouth classmates. Davida (Kornreich) Krupnick, Tasha Sterling, Kristen (Grauer) Kittur, Nick Baum, and Dunia Rkein ’08 were all there to give a rouse. Andrew Eastman sent baby Grace a box of Dartmouth gear to indoctrinate her from birth—so far she likes her stuffed moose the most. Kate and Tim recently moved from Manhattan to Madison, New Jersey, and would love to connect with other alums in the area!
Liz Yepsen welcomed daughter Frida Yepsen in Zürich in October and is taking medical advice from Ayesha Appa on her Instagram account, @ayeshaappamd, in case anyone else is looking to make sense of all the vaccine changes and clarify what an infectious disease doctor says about the five-second rule. Liz says, “We were showered with so much Dartmouth love from all the folks who have gone before on this ride. Frida was lucky to meet and enjoy various cheeses with Deana Wojcik and partner in Switzerland and met Lisa Haffenreffer ’06 at the Winter Olympics in Milan!”
In news from Aaron Golas, he says: “Much to update, so first, a bit of overdue news: I’m trans! I’ve been going by ‘A. Lorelei’ for several years now. I’m still with Sara Bersche ’05 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We flew out to Minneapolis this December to celebrate my 40th with Harry Huberty, his wife, Christina Fanciullo, and friends John and Amanda. I’ve mostly been working in microbiology since graduation but during the past year launched a new career as a voice actor! Feel free to visit alorelei.com to catch up or get in touch.”
Clara Aranovich wrote in with some exciting news from her theater company, Public Assembly. In March the group enjoyed a glowing writeup in the Los Angeles Times about the company’s efforts to bring theater arts to wider artists and audiences in L.A. Almost sounding like a “wired” theater production from the Hop theater back in our college years, Public Assembly solicits submissions from all theatergoers throughout L.A., then spends one month developing and performing the show. Without a permanent space, Public Assembly brings its productions far and wide to unconventional spaces throughout the L.A. area. Clara started Public Assembly in 2018 as a response to what they saw as three problems in the art world: the slow pace of development, overly recycled ideas, and too high a barrier to entry for artists. Congrats, Clara, on all your success! You can see more about Public Assembly, with relevant images, on our Instagram page, @dartmouth2007s.
