Class Note 2018

Issue

May-June 2026

Class Note 2018. Hi, ’18s!
Summer is coming. I’m writing this introduction from February in Boston, where we have already logged more than 60 inches of snow this winter. It’s been a record-breaking season in many parts of the country, including a few places where snow is particularly unexpected. Whether you spent the winter playing in the snow, cozying up indoors, or escaping somewhere sunny, I hope everyone enjoyed the season.
As we look forward to summer on the horizon, we have a few exciting classmate updates to share. Erin Connolly and Michael Fraunberger ’19 got married in January in Atlanta with many fellow alums in attendance. You better believe there was an “Every Time We Touch” dance number at the reception! Erin and Michael met after college during the “Covid Summer” of 2020 in Boston and have been living and working in Atlanta for the past four years. The newlyweds send a special shoutout to the smaller-but-mighty Dartmouth alumni community they have found in Atlanta. Congratulations to you both!
In March Amir Sharifzadeh embarked on a major new chapter, moving from the snowy green mountains of Vermont to sunny Florida as a launch system software engineer at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center! Amir is supporting the Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering, and Test (COMET) contract and the Artemis II mission. Amir shared, “It’s been a long journey, but I’m incredibly excited to be part of the team returning humanity to the moon. See you on the ‘Space Coast’!” Congratulations, Amir!
Thank you all for your submissions as always. I know I speak for many of us when I say we appreciate the chance to stay connected. Have a great summer!
