Class Note 2007. Happy holidays, 07s! Thanks for consistently sending in great updates! Here are the reports from fall term around the girdled earth.
Sahiba Krieger wrote in that in early October she attended the Dartmouth West Coast Homecoming organized by the Dartmouth Club of Los Angeles at the stunning Hermosa Beach home of Mike Mothner ’03. The evening captured the perfect mix of nostalgia and California energy, with pong, a DJ, a full bar, and creative Dartmouth-themed décor, including Baker Library accents and a playful bonfire that set the scene.
The class of ’07 had a great turnout, with Kelly (Mothner) and Mark Limpert, Dan August, Brett Memsic, Will Rollins, Alyssa Scott, and Janelle Braverman in attendance. After the festivities, Sahiba headed to Hollywood to celebrate Melody Dai’s 40th birthday. She shares that she and her husband and three boys live in the South Bay of Los Angeles, where she helps run the podcast network Cloud10 Media.
Following up from Sahiba’s note, I got in touch with Dan August. Dan and his wife, Joanna Hunter August ’06, connected in New York after college when both worked at the NFL league office and are now celebrating 13 years of marriage, living with their two girls, ages 10 and 6, in Agoura Hills, an L.A. suburb. Dan and Joanna both work for the 2021 Super Bowl champion LA Rams.
Dan oversees the team’s consumer revenue and strategy, which includes ticketing, food and beverage, retail, analytics, and gameday operations, while Joanna oversees corporate communications for the team. Being married to a fellow Dartmouth alum, Dan and Joanna stay connected to the alumni community by keeping up with L.A.-based ’07 friends such as Mark Limpert, Kelly (Mothner) Limpert, and Alyssa Scott as well as a few Dartmouth alum coworkers. Recent family highlights include seeing their older daughter start flag football and indoctrinating their kids in the sadness of being a NY Knicks fan.
I caught up with Michelle A. Davis after her real estate newsletter popped into my inbox. After almost 15 years working as a government lawyer with special focus on Equal Employment Opportunity Commission compliance and government ethics and contracts, Michelle left government service for a taste of something different. Since January 2025 she has been working as a real estate agent in her native D.C. area. She shares, “I am loving the real estate space. I got into it because I have always enjoyed art and design and I love meeting new people and have been enjoying helping folks navigate major life transitions and find homes that they love.” When she’s not making housing dreams come true, Michelle lives with her 8-year-old son, Michael, and stays connected to the alumni community, particularly friends such as Monica Barrera ’05, Vivian Chung, and Rena Fried ’08.
Matthew A. Maccani and Heather N. Hoffman were married in Vineland, New Jersey, on October 12, 2025, and celebrated with family and friends from around the United States and world. Kiran Parkhe was the best man (and gave a toast that brought down the house!), and Vedant Mehra was a groomsman. Also in attendance was Patty Vendikos. Kristin Krogh—who first met Matthew while she was at Dartmouth on a UCSD-Dartmouth exchange term in fall 2004 and has been a close friend ever since—was also there to celebrate the newlyweds and reconnect with Kiran, Vedant, and Patty. After their wedding weekend fun, Matthew and Heather enjoyed swimming, snorkeling, hiking, and exploring Aruba on their honeymoon adventure! Matthew, Heather, and their Irish doodle named Molly live in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, area. Congrats, Matthew!
