Class Note 2002. Hello, ’02s!
I received happy news from Kristen LeFevre: “Owen John LeFevre was born on November 4, joining older brother Henry. We are all doing well! Owen’s middle name honors my father, John LeFevre ’66, who is a doting grandfather to both boys.”
Allyson Wendt has recently opened Bobbin & Skein, a fiber arts retail store and makerspace in Brattleboro, Vermont, and is loving life as a small-town shopkeeper. In addition to selling fabric and yarn, she offers classes in sewing, weaving, and knitting as well as regular crafting circles. Her makerspace members have access to looms, spinning wheels, sewing machines, and a large studio where they can pursue creative projects. Allyson says, “It’s so rewarding to help people find the right materials and techniques to make their creative vision a reality and to see how quickly the shop is becoming home to a welcoming, supportive community of all kinds of fiber artists. I’m having so much fun!”
Annie (Lambert) Norman is excited to help launch Directing through Recreation, Education, Adventure, and Mentoring (DREAM) in Maine! DREAM is a youth mentoring organization founded by Michael Foote ’01 and Jon Potter ’01 that pairs college students with at-risk elementary and middle-schoolers in a village-mentoring model. Some of Annie’s core experiences at Dartmouth (which later inspired her to practice primary care medicine) were with DREAM. If you’re in the Portland, Maine, area and interested in getting involved, reach out! Email drnorman@gracehealthmaine.com or visit www.dreamprogram.org.
Lastly, save the date for our 25th reunion June 17-20 (Thursday-Sunday), 2027. We need help planning. If you are willing to help, please reach out at dartmouth.class.of.2002@gmail.com.
I hope you all are having a nice winter. Keep sending your updates!
