Class Note 1961

Issue

March - April 2026

Class Note 1961. And here’s more on our mini-reunion October 10-12, Dartmouth’s Homecoming Weekend. The program included speaker panels of classmatesand others connected with our class and Dartmouth.
Also on the schedule was dinner on Friday evening at the Hilton Garden Inn, a box lunch on Saturday at the Robert Frost statue prior to the football game against Yale, a catered private dinner on Saturday evening at Murphy’s on the Green, and brunch on Sunday at the Norwich (Vermont) Inn.
In total, 86 classmates and related parties attended the mini-reunion in person—including 32 classmates and spouses, Beccy Abraham, Adv’25, and Tommy Benevino ’24. Speakers or moderators for this mini-reunion included the former and current students and Dave Prewitt, Frank Stephens, Don O’Neill, Mort Lynn, Gim Burton, and Maynard Wheeler. Unfortunately, Dave Armstrong, who was scheduled to be a speaker, was unable to attend due to an unexpected illness.
It is that time of year again: The campaign for annual giving and for ’61 class dues has begun. Our unquestionably small class will never win any awards for large annual giving. However, the awards for annual participation are well within our reach and, with a determined effort each year, readily achieved. Each year we are either the lead class in participation or very close to it. The class is very grateful for any assistance you can provide. Please make an annual contribution to the Dartmouth College Fund of any amount you feel comfortable with, however small, and please pay your annual class dues of $61.
