Class Note 1960
Issue
March - April 2026
Class Note 1960. RegRegestein writes: “BobKenerson was a psychoanalyst and master teacher. At the Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s outpatient psychiatry department, Bob would listen to a resident’s case report. Then, in a dazzling exegesis, Bob would expose the patient’s unconscious motivations, causes, and relationships. Those who might be skeptical of Freudian psychology and practices would likely be compelled by Bob Kenerson’s warm demeanor and deep insights.”
AlexterWeele writes that he is proud to announce the next student of the Dartmouth class of 2047 is his first great-grandson, Edmond, whose application is in the mail. Given he is having fun stacking blocks, Edmond may be leaning toward engineering at Thayer, as did his great grandfather. On the other hand, his very first experience, a pleasant one, was with the medical profession, so maybe he will choose to become a doctor. He is expected to make his decision in the near future.
BillModahl writes, “Leslie and I are doing well and enjoying life in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where we have lived for 27 years and have good friends, including another Dartmouth alumnus, John Lenssen ’58. In 2025 we did a bit of traveling, including visits to family in Massachusetts and California, Portugal in May, and in November, Egypt. I am still skiing—we have a lovely small ski area only 25 minutes from our home. I’m trying to stay physically and mentally active, for as they say in Vermont, it’s better to wear out than to rust out.”
If you enjoy Class Notes from the past, take a look at the new DAM archive, which lists past notes easily accessed at dartmouthalumnimagazine@ dartmouth.com. And please, please, send me some reflections and news to include in future issues.
