Class Note 2019. It’s a gorgeous sunny Sunday in the fall and I’m at a trendy coffee shop in Manhattan’s Seaport with my favorite New York City influencer, Regan Gore. Regan started @espressoexcursions in September to document her coffee explorations in New York and beyond! If you’re interested in thoughtful ratings and reviews of coffee quality and café vibe, check out Regan’s account on Instagram. For those of you in New York, our 2019 class executive council is planning a mini-reunion in January—stay tuned for more information and please feel free to contribute any event ideas! Perhaps an espresso excursion?
Jules Wheaton hosted a recent mini-reunion at Tuck in Hanover, joined by Jeremy Epstein, Grace (Replogle) Greer, Becky Hines, Matt Kaskey, and Mackenzie Scurka, along with scattered Dartmouth alumni of other class years.
This fall has been wedding season for ’19s! Theia Qu and Celine Guan congratulated Regina Yan and Sheppard Somers on their wedding, writing, “We celebrated with them and many other alums on a beautiful, late summer day in New Hampshire. They wrapped up the perfect Dartmouth-approved night by winning a thrilling game of half-cup/half-cup!”
Regina Yan wrote in as well, sending “heartfelt congratulations to Lara Balick on her marriage to Dan Keyes! Regina, along with Sarah Miller, Rachel Chen, Madison Weatherly, Lucy Tatum, Abigail Buckley, Pelin Ozel, and many others were honored to celebrate a wedding that so beautifully reflected Lara’s thoughtfulness, warmth, and (of course) impeccable taste during an unforgettable August weekend in Lake George.” Lara Balick wrote in to congratulate Sarah Miller and Ryan Warren on their wedding in October in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., as well as Regina and Sheppard for their wedding in September in New Hampshire!
Chloe Conacher, Asa Toyoda, and Bun Straton each shared the news of Alisa An and Nick Peart’s engagement! Henry Burns and Anna (Reed) Burns welcomed a daughter named Ada Eloise in October—congrats to the happy family! Katie Toal shared that she visited Cesar Guardiola in San Antonio, Texas.
