Class Note 2014

Issue

January-February 2026

Class Note 2014. Happy New Year, ’14s! I hope some of you were able to make it to Hanover this fall, whether for Homecoming or the Hop reopening festivities. Here in London, our traditional cardboard mini-bonfire went the same way as this year’s real bonfire, in coincidental solidarity with the New Hampshire statewide fire ban. Instead, we may have spent the weekend playing pong on the dining table ….
Moving on to the updates, ’14s have been making the news again: Michelle Khare appeared on the cover of Hollywood Reporter in October for her YouTube series Challenge Accepted, and Fox Business published a feature on customizable water bottle company Cirkul, cofounded by Andy Gay. Meanwhile Rena Sapon-White’s latest rom-com novel, Sweet Talk, cowritten with Ella Schaefer, hit shelves in late September.
Formerly chief of staff at Tent Partnership for Refugees, Jenni Gargano started a new role as a college counselor in July 2025. She also got engaged to Greg Manne, former coordinator of global outreach at Dartmouth, whom she met while working in the Dartmouth admissions office.
Back in March we sent out an engagement survey that aimed to help us plan class activities for the next couple of years and included the opportunity to celebrate a classmate or share an update in the Class Notes. The following is a selection of your responses.
Congratulations were offered for a number of marriages: Meredith Sweeney married Arden Arnold ’16, Pedro Hurtado Ortiz and John D’Antonio recently tied the knot, and Amelia Acosta got married in August 2024. According to Pallavi Kuppa-Apte, Amelia also “completed her Rat Academy training in N.Y.C., making her a local rat elimination expert.”
Benjie Jenkins offered a shout out to Keshav Poddar for completing the Engadin Cross-Country Ski Marathon in Switzerland in March. Ellen (Daily) Stephen recognized “the most amazing mama role models” Rachael (Bornstein) Mondshine and Alison Levens Zhao “for being such positive and encouraging supporters during the challenging newborn days.” On a similar note, Corinne (Kominkiewicz) Nieves wrote, “Grace (McDevitt) Loveland has been such a great friend as a few of us transition into motherhood! She’s been there for me and even created a group chat of all the ’14 Sigma Deltas who are now mothers. Also, Adam Kraus did his residency in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and was such a light and support when I had my baby two months early and had to spend 44 days in the NICU with my preemie.” Finally, Jojo Miller shared that he and Tyler Bradford have new ’14 neighbors: Bridget Golob and Graham McConnell bought a house nearby earlier this year.
Thanks to everyone who filled in the survey! Not surprisingly, you overwhelmingly preferred in-person events to virtual ones. We’ll be planning more ’14 mini-reunions in the coming year; get in touch with Katherine Cima at katherine.d.cima@gmail.com if you’re interested in organizing or helping out with an event in your area. And be sure to keep your information up to date at alumni.dartmouth.edu/update-your-info so you hear about upcoming events in your area!
