Class Note 1974. If you haven’t, please opt out of paper delivery of our class newsletter. You save both trees and the class money and get the same erudite narrative from Rick Ranger and full-color pictures on our class website. Email volunteer.engagement@dartmouth.edu the following, “Subject, Class of 1974 Newsletter—To whom it may concern: Please opt me out of paper mailing for the class of 1974 newsletter. Regards, ‘Your name’ ’74.”
At a recent Class Secretaries Association meeting, Scott Allen shared his excitement and initial thoughts as he assumes the role of DAM editor. We were reminded that unlike other alumni magazines, “Dartmouth Alumni Magazine is owned and published by Dartmouth College and produced in cooperation with the Dartmouth Class Secretaries Association.” Scott’s commitment to independent, thoughtful journalism is strong.
Exciting news about the Class of ’74 Health Equity Scholar Program from Amber Barnato, director of the Dartmouth Institute: “I am delighted to share the excellent news that Manish Mishra, M.D., M.P.H., has accepted the role of faculty director. Manish has an extraordinary track record of developing cocurricular programs that support the moral and intellectual development of undergraduates in the prehealth space” as codirector of Dartmouth Healthcare Foundations. Manish’s official start date was November 1, although he met in October with Mike Thomas and me, faculty mentors, and our current cohort of eight undergraduate Health Equity scholars.
My email inbox is as vacant as was my Hinman mailbox. Send news please.
