Class Note 2019

Issue

November-December 2025

Class Note 2019. Hi, it’s me, the Deuxmoi of the class of 2019! Keep sending in the Class Notes submissions, everyone. Similar to submitting gossip to Deuxmoi, you are always welcome to add “anon pls” to your Instagram DM submissions if you do not want your sightings, overheards, and rumors attributed to you. When beta testing this new feature, a member of the class anonymously submitted that another member of the class has become a huge Benson Boone fan and is learning how to do a backflip. I’m so eager to learn more!
Gage Guerra shared that David Emanuels graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and is starting his internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. David also recently got married in San Francisco to one of his med school classmates.
I saw Juliana Levy in Palo Alto, California, in June, right before she started her residency at Stanford University after graduating from medical school at Columbia University. Brandon Holmes shared that he finished his master’s in environmental economics from Durham University in the United Kingdom. Emmanuel Soto reported that he coinvented handtennis.com. Exciting!
Maiah Police shared that recently engaged couple Mackenzie Skurka and Amos Cariati ’18 are moving from California to Hanover for Amos to attend business school at Tuck. Kia Amirkiaee and Will Young ’17 also moved this summer, from Seattle to Santa Barbara, California, shortly before their August wedding! Lisa Genthner married Tom Homand on Nantucket, Massachusetts, in September, with Mary Amis, Alyssa Berger, and Rebecca McElvain as bridesmaids.
Regan Gore congratulated me and Tom Galligani on our engagement in D.C. in June! I would like to do an “uno reverse” and congratulate Regan and Jayson Chojar on their beautiful engagement in New York City in July surrounded by flowers at the iconic Kimberly Hotel, a favorite Midtown East haunt ever since winter 2018!
Katie Toal writes, “Ted Poatsy ’17 and I got married, also Ted Bausch ’18 and Emily Schneider got married. We love marrying ‘TriKap Teds’ I guess.” Congrats to Katie, Emily, and both Teds. Katie also shared that Russell Beckerman got married to Annie Phifer Beckerman ’20.
Holly Patterson hosted a Dartmouth mini-reunion in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with more than 100 Dartmouth alumni in attendance. I encourage other ’19s to be inspired by Holly and plan mini-reunions in their communities!
As 2025 comes to an end, this is your annual reminder to update your information at https://alumni.dartmouth.edu/update-your-info to ensure you continue to receive the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine!
