Class Note 2006. Happy holidays, ’06s.
Alphonse D. Ramsey II was appointed chief of the N.Y.C. Parks Academy in April. In this role he oversees the training for employees of New York City Parks and Recreation, covering topics ranging from pool operations to leadership (and everything in between).
Alex Stein had another ’06 visitor in Bellagio, Italy: Kacy Gordon.Kacy was leading a UNC summer study abroad in Seville, Spain, and she joined Alex in nearby Lecco for a four-day visit and bike tour. Alex shared, “We hit the family treasure hunt with her husband, Daniel, and 11-year-old shredder Ramona, who is fierce on the e-mountain bike. The last time I saw Ramona she was 14 months old at their house in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, so it was fun to see what a confident and strong person she is becoming. Daniel, an Ironman, and I went for some bigger rides on the road bikes too. Come ride with me, ’06s, and bring your littles!”
Congratulations to Chris Green and his wife, Nora. They welcomed their second child, a daughter named Camila Grace Green, on July 3 in Chicago. Their son, Cooper, is excited to be a big brother. Chris also shared that he met up with Mike Rabil in July for the Premier League Lacrosse games played in Chicago.
Lauren (Burrows) Coleman and her husband, Jordan, moved to Boynton Beach, Florida, fulltime and have joined the growing Palm Beach County crew. Lauren works as chief financial officer for Beasley Broadcast Group and Jordan as director of operations and supply chain strategy for Printful. They are loving their new Florida home and new Bernedoodle puppy Ember.
Wishing you a happy holiday season and looking forward to receiving more news and updates from you all in the new year.
