Class Note 2003

Issue

September-October 2024

Happy fall, ’03s.

Reunion 2024 is in the books! For those of you who joined us on the Green, it was wonderful to see you and catch up with so many of you. If you weren’t able to join us, fear not, our next reunion is a mere four years away, for our official 25th in 2028. Many thanks to our classmates who organized such a successful 20th reunion. Our executive committee—Tatiana (Fernandez) Amlin, president; Lindsay (Hirschfeld) Guzowski, vice president; Katherine (Howard) Ward, treasurer; and me, Megan (Riley) Kenney, secretary—were reelected for the term through our next reunion. Sarah (Murray) Sliva will join us as our social media manager and newsletter editor. As always, we welcome other classmates to join us in our class leadership; please reach out if you are interested.

Our Dartmouth College Fund head agents John Apostolides, me, John Robinson, and Charlotte (Haldeman) Whitmore are pleased to report that as of the date of our reunion, our class gift total was $423,792. We anticipate final numbers at a later date and will share as soon as they are available. New agents are always helpful; again, reach out if you are interested in spearheading our class gift effort as we look toward our 25th reunion.

Rebecca (Meyers) Galemba reached out with news. She, Catie (Huisman) Griggs, Meagan (Morrow) Hanbury, Carolyn Maezes, and Michelle (Hogan) Monteleone took a long overdue and anticipated girls’ trip to Nashville in May. The trip had been in the works since the pandemic and finally came together this spring. Rebecca reports much fun was had catching up, although they realized perhaps they were little too old for Broadway Street. In professional news, Rebecca shares that she was promoted to full professor effective for the 2024-25 school year at the University of Denver Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Glad everyone had a great trip and congratulations on your promotion, Rebecca!

I heard from Kamil Walji, who requested that I share an upcoming event. For anyone interested, save the date for the 40th anniversary celebration of Dartmouth Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Alumni/ae Association (DGALA) in Hanover for an all-class reunion July 25-27, 2025.

As always, please send news to the email below. I’d also love to have a classmate write a guest column—if you are interested, send me a note.
