David Waslen got married in September to Martha Crotty (Duke ’06). He also cofounded and launched a private equity firm called Chrysalis Acquisition Fund this summer, based in Calgary, Alberta, where the couple resides.
Ansley (Watson) Burnett writes, “In August I accepted an offer to become the vice president of operations for Happy Tree, an N.Y.C.-based beverage startup that makes Maple Water. I’m really excited about this new position!”
Sarah Uhl: “I recently took on a new role at Clean Air Task Force, directing our program to reduce emissions of potent, short-lived climate pollutants, including black carbon and methane. When not traveling around I am thrilled to be back in the beautiful Granite State, living with my husband, Zachary Smith, in a 225-year-old house we just purchased near downtown Portsmouth. Visitors welcome! No ghost sightings yet.”
Tom Bonamici moved from Brooklyn to Eugene, Oregon, where he’ll be teaching product design at the university and doing custom furniture and building. “If anyone wants a timber-frame sauna, give a shout!”
Amanda Brown married Kyle Lierman in September in Washington, D.C. Amanda shares, “He’s not a Dartmouth person, but his older sister and brother-in-law are both ’01s. He was very quick to tell my mom that the first time they met. In his vows his first promise was that our children can go to Dartmouth.”
Sarah Overton: “I was married on September 19 to a brilliant Aussie, David Duncan. The ceremony was in my hometown, Jacksonville, Florida, and we were delighted to share the day with Elizabeth Terry, Sarah Hughes, Caroline Barker, John Bair ’05, Marina McClure ’04, Jesse Roisin ’05 and Matt Fay ’05. David and I continue to live in Melbourne, Australia, and would love to connect with alums Down Under.”
Dan Linsalata: “I got married to Donna Schaller (Lehigh ’04) back in September. We had a good crowd of Dartmouth representation, including John Wilson, Neil Hartz, Erin (Emery) Hartz ’06, Mike Greene, Kerry Snow, Mark Henle, Dan Weinberg ’05, Dax Tejera, Eric Crawford ’08, Max Copello ’09, Jeff Cooperman ’06 and Dan Villone. The wedding was in Boston, where Donna and I are currently living in Charlestown and trying to avoid growing up and moving out to the ’burbs.”
Jean Hamlin: “I graduated from the University of Rochester’s family medicine residency in Rochester, New York, this year, and I am now in the National Health Service Corps and practicing medicine in Milo, Maine—where I grew up. I graduated from medical school at Dartmouth back in 2012 and it is great to be a licensed, board-certified M.D.!”
Victoria Solbert recently moved to London to start a job with Dalberg Global Development Advisors. “Would love to meet up with any Dartmouth folk in the area! U.K. Thanksgiving, anyone?”
Amy Do celebrated four years of being Amy Bender this year. She and her husband are in the process of buying their first home in the San Francisco Bay Area. Amy also celebrated eight years of being a googler this summer and started a new role as a global product expert at Google’s Mountain View headquarters.
Paul Wright married Liz Vaughan ’08 in Seal Cove, Maine, surrounded by loved ones, including a huge contingent of Dartmouth friends. (Picture in newsletter!)
Finally, Ali Levine Nuger: “My husband, Jon, and I welcomed a baby boy, Andrew Henry Nuger, to the world on October 23. Andrew weighed in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces and is doing great! Mom and dad are in awe. Andrew already can’t wait for his first trip up to Hanover.”
