Class Note 2007
Happy fall, ’07s! Hope you’re all enjoying the season and getting cozy. Here we go!
Ashley Henry writes, “I married the love of my life, Thomas Musser ’05, on a beautiful sunny day on June 15, 2014, at the elegant and historical Hampshire House in Boston. There were several Dartmouth alumni in attendance. The wedding party included my triplet sisters as co-maids of honor, attorneys Brittany Henry and Courtney Henry and their fiancés Jethro Rothe-Kushel ’03 and Dr. Vibhor Bhatt, Ph.D. in computer science, who were groomsmen. Also in the wedding party were bridesmaids Austin Lewis, Sonia Faruqi and Jennifer Wilson ’05; the father of the groom, John Musser ’73; and 30 other lovely Dartmouth friends, including twin sister of the bridesmaid, Sofia Faruqi. Much fun and excitement was had on our very enjoyable day.”
Kate Davison shares, “On our last day in the Upper Valley before moving to the southern Berkshires, Seth Cohen (Adv’13, Wesleyan ’07) and I got engaged on top of the Gile fire tower!”
Nicole Cannizzaro catches us up with a number of classmates: “Just last month I said goodbye to Sean Garren and Will DeKrey ’08, who are leaving D.C. and heading north to Boston. Will starts an M.B.A. program at MIT this fall. It was also wonderful to see so many Dartmouth folks, including Derrick Smith, Anna (Payne) Fife ’08 and of course Annie Bennett, who I look forward to playing Top Golf with soon. Though I swore I was leaving the classroom, I started my eighth year teaching, this time at E.L. Haynes, a public charter school. All is going well so far. Early congrats to Arielle Rodman and Chris Cahill, who, though not marrying one another, are getting hitched on the same day in September. Major kudos to Blair (Burgreen) Chan for completing her Ph.D. at Stanford just a few weeks ago! Looking forward to seeing her and the mister, Chris Chan, when they come to visit D.C. in September.”
Francesca Gazzaniga married Richard Novak (Emory ’07) at her parents’ house in California. Wedding guests were led to the reception area by a marching band of Dartmouth alumni playing “Dartmouth’s in Town Again” on kazoos! The Dartmouth alumni were Francesca’s dad, Michael Gazzaniga ’61, sister Anne Gazzaniga ’89, uncle Alan Gazzaniga ’58, cousins David Gazzaniga ’90, DMS’94, and Michael Gazzaniga, DMS’96, and friends Alexandria (Fecych) Favazza, Lillian King, Brian Myers and Alex Clementi ’09.
Moira Sullivan shares that Jenna Farleigh and Todd Yezefski ’04 were married in Union, Washington, in August. “There was a full crowd of Dartmouth alums, with many ’07s in attendance!”
Sara Studebaker writes, “After competing in my second Olympics in biathlon in Sochi this winter, I decided to retire from professional competition. I moved to Anchorage, Alaska, to join my fiancé, Zachary Hall ’06 (a June 2015 wedding is in the works!). This week I started my new job as assistant Nordic ski coach for the University of Alaska-Anchorage. I’m looking forward to my new role and getting to travel throughout the western United States this winter. Look Zach and me up if you’re ever in Anchorage, we’d love to catch up!”
Allison (Boyles) Martini reports, “My husband, Justin Martini ’05, and I moved back east this summer after two fantastic years in Chicago. We welcomed a healthy and beautiful daughter, Hayden Marie Martini, on August 2, and the three of us are settling into new digs in Brooklyn. We are excited to embrace this new stage and explore a new city. We look forward to connecting with local alums, and would appreciate any advice and recommendations from seasoned New Yorkers (and parents!).”
That’s it for now! Wishing you all a beautiful last couple months of 2014.
