Class Note 2001

Issue

November-December 2023

Happy holidays, ’01s! Katherine (Sherwin) Edwards is happy to report that she and her husband welcomed their second daughter, Anne, this past spring. The family strategy for surviving the Texas summer heat at their home in Austin was lots of time at the pool. Abraham Mahshie recently joined the U.S. State Department after a 20-year career as a reporter covering the defense beat. With his first two-year assignment in Australia, Abraham kicked off his new role with New Year’s Eve fireworks at the Sydney Opera House. Sounds pretty awesome. Congratulations to Brian Maloney, who was recently named a partner in the litigation group at Seward & Kissel, a New York-based law firm. Christine Campbell is starting a new job at the University of Vermont. She is excited to be returning to New England after spending 20 years living in Alabama. Madeline Medeiros Ruiz and her husband, Kially Ruiz ’98, were hosting a Hispanic Latinx celebration in Madrid, Spain, through the Dartmouth Association of Latino Alumni. When I heard from her, they were busy planning an amazing four-day event filled with art, music, and amazing Dartmouth alumni. Wishing everyone well this holiday season and see you in 2024.
