Class Note 2001
Issue
May-June 2022
Happy spring, fellow ’01s!
Madeleine Medeiros Ruiz and Kially M. Ruiz ’98 recently co-founded Artera, an art-backed cryptocurrency. I could try to explain more but, well, you would be better off checking them out at arteraswap.com.
Kristin Romberg is also connecting with fellow Dartmouth alums from other classes. She was in New Mexico visiting a Montessori school for work and met up with Allegra Love ’03, Jordan Able, and Emily Roe ’03.
Michael Calarco wrote in for the first time ever to announce his recent marriage to Air Force Major Katie Slugocki (Michigan ’09). Michael and Katie live in Fulsom, California, where he works in cardiac anesthesia and she as a nurse practitioner.
Finally, Shiriki Jones recently became the president of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys. The organization, founded in 1981, seeks to nurture, support, and galvanize the power of Black female attorneys. She was also recently elected to serve on the executive committee of the State Bar Association of Georgia. Great work and congratulations, everyone!
