Allen Higgins Pickard ’44

Allen Higgins Pickard ’44 died May 3 in Nashville, Indiana. He served as a private in the U.S. Army. After earning his degree in history at Dartmouth he received his master’s in history from the University of Connecticut. Allen retired in 1984 from the Defense Information School at Fort Harrison, where he was a professor for 35 years. Allen enjoyed studying genealogy, keeping up with current events and politics and collecting antiques and artwork.
