Alison Hines ’86

Alison Hines ’86 died on January 22, surrounded by the spirits of her father, Herbert Hines Jr., brother Christopher, sister Melanie, and niece Rebekkah. She is survived by her mother, Sara Hines; sister Jocelyn and her husband, Louis; sister-in-law Magdalene; nephew Jeremy and his wife, Jessica; and nieces Chelsea, Miranda, and Lyndsey. Alison was born on Staten Island, New York, in 1964. She graduated from Music and Art High School and at Dartmouth majored in sociology and participated in the language study abroad program in French. She received her doctor of chiropractic degree from Life University. She lived and practiced in Kennesaw, Georgia. Alison had the natural ability to see the humor in just about everything and her girlish giggle would surely get you. Behind her keen observations, tinged with humor, were a deep spiritual intuitiveness, a healing spirit, and a love for humanity and all living things. Alison loved music, art, spending time on the seashore, including deep-water fishing, good food, and fun times. Honor her lifetime of striving for kindness, love, empathy, compassion, humor, and laughter in the world by continuing to do the same.
