John A. Gray ’51
John A. Gray ’51, an attorney specializing in international law, died in Boston on January 23. Surviving are three children and three grandchildren. Jack was born in Lima, Peru, and lived for a time in Southern Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. His mother was Belgian. While at Dartmouth he was president of Le Cercle Francais. These experiences and influences led to a lifelong interest in international affairs. Jack received a bachelor of law degree from George Washington University Law School and practiced law until his death. He was a specialist in Middle Eastern law. He lived for many years in the Boston area, most recently in Wenham, Massachusetts. He served on the vestry of his church and on the board of the Salem, Massachusetts, YMCA. Among his many interests were golf, skiing, bridge and French wines.
