Richard Krolik ’41 died on November 6, 2011, of natural causes. After cofounding the Dartmouth radio station and serving as captain in the Air Corps in the Southwest Pacific during WW II, he worked in New York for the Mutual Broadcasting System, The March of Time and Life magazine. He also worked on NBC’s Today show before becoming vice president of Time-Life Broadcasting. He moved to Washington, D.C., in 1972 as assistant to the House subcommittee on communications. He served as staff director of the ad hoc committee on Energy. As a freelance writer he contributed to Washington Journalism Review and Television Quarterly. He is survived by his children Cynthia and Jeffry and three grandsons.
