Create all image files and PDFs for the new Issue

• Create images/spreads for Features
• Create any inline images that will appear in Article body
• Create any PDFs that you want to link to
• Create any Slider images for items you want to feature in the Homepage Slider and News & Articles Slider
• Create any main image for any Teaser Link you plan on adding to Homepage Features
• Create PDF of magazine (currently set at 30mb limit)

 

Load Article Content (don’t Publish)

• Features (include: Deaths, Campus Confidential, Insta-Student, Ask the Expert)
• Letters
• Books
• Photo Gallery (optional)

 

Add Teaser Links

• Extra items, such as Archive links that will appear on Homepage.
  Typically these items lead to content not available on the CMS-driven website. 

 

Update Sliders

• Update the Homepage Slider with new images/text/links
• Update the News and Articles Slider with new images/text/links

 

Right Sidebar Updates (these will not appear until related “Current Issue” is set)

• Where to stay
• Where to eat
• Where to shop
• Classifieds

 

Publish Articles

• Edit all new articles and check-off Publish. (only superusers can publish)
• You can also batch publish by going to Content>Manage Content. You can filter by issue and publish multiple at a time. 

 

Set “Current Issue”

• Set “Current Issue” (which appears in top right) - Content>Set Current Issue and choose from dropdown and save. 
• Create issue Download- (this is the downloadable file)- Go to Content>Add Content>Upload Issue

 

Homepage Nodequeue

• Update the Homepage Nodequeue to list items that you want to feature on the Homepage
  (under the main slider). Currently set to display up to 12 items. 

 

Upload XML

• Class Notes
• Obits
