James Clark Mickle ’55, M.D., died September 22, 2015, after a long battle with brain cancer in Ross, California. Jim came to Dartmouth from Chadwick School in San Francisco. He was a premed student majoring in chemistry-zoology. Jim was secretary of the Human Rights Society and was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa, Dartmouth College Union and DOC. He also participated in the Forensic Union, WDBS, and the ski patrol. Jim had an active psychiatry practice before his illness. In the 25th reunion book, he said his interests included wine, cheese, reading, running, growing roses and baking bread. Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan, children Iain, Annaliesa and Erinne and six grandchildren.
