David M. Neville Jr. ’55, M.D., died on January 14 in Hopkinton, Maryland. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and sons Paul and David. Born in New York City and a graduate of Mamaroneck High School in Larchmont, New York, Dave was a premed student at Dartmouth. He played in the Marching Band and was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa. Dave earned his M.D. at the University of Rochester Medical School, where he became interested in cell research, and then interned at the Yale School of Medicine. Dave accepted a research position at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Massachusetts. His molecular biology lab led to the development of Resimmune, a targeted T-cell therapy. Dave was the author of more than 140 scientific papers. He retired from the NIH in 2008 with the rank of captain in the Public Health Service.
