Early 2025 has been less than kind to a few members of our ’96 family. First, I want to extend sincerest condolences to John Barros, wife Tchintcia, and their family on the unspeakable loss of their youngest son Christian José.
The year 2024 was truly a milestone for the class of ’96. The year was marked by a flurry of 50th birthday celebrations, many classmates seeing children off to college, and important career developments.
The second half of 2024 has been a mixed bag for the class of 1996. While 50th birthday celebrations continue, several classmates have had a rough go of things in recent months.
Katherine Domingo ’96 passed away on March 18 following an eight-year battle with breast cancer. Born in the Philippines, Kathy lived in Bloomington, Indiana, since 1996. She earned her master’s and doctoral degrees at the Jacobs School of Music.
