The birth year of most members of our class is 1930; about 70 percent is the number we have. That means most of us still in the game will be celebrating our 95th birthday this year.
Sometimes it is hard to comprehend how long it has been since our class graduated in 1952. June of this year marks 73 years since our formal graduation and, in Septmber, 77 years since we first descended on the Hanover Plain.
Two of the best times in Hanover are spring and fall, especially the former. This time of year, the leaves seem to explode overnight as the days get longer.
John Callanan McDonald died at home on April 12. John was born in Plattsburgh, New York, on May 15, 1930, and lived most of his life in upstate New York.
George August Moerlein passed away on February 9 in Anchorage, Alaska. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on March 15, 1930; went to Cincinnati Country Day School; and graduated from Dartmouth with a geology major.
Laurence C. Schiffenhaus passed away peacefully on March 2 in Essex Falls, New Jersey. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Larry graduated from Dartmouth with a sociology degree. He was a member of Alpha Delta. He then married Betty V.
Nicholas J. Serenyi , a Hungarian-born businessman and generous family head who helped rescue his family from postwar Europe, died on March 8. Born Miklós J.
