Allen Eugene Palmquist ’55 died on February 4 following a brief battle with cancer. Always a Missourian he came to Dartmouth from Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School. After graduation he received a master’s from the University of Missouri Graduate School of Business. He served in the Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, and retired as a captain in the reserves. Most of his business was in personnel and accounting, spending time with Emerson Electric and in the 1970s at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He took an early retirement, turning to personal investing and volunteer work. Allen had a special interest in cars and owned an Avanti. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, one son and 12 grandchildren.
