Thomas Scott Wilson ’73

Thomas Scott Wilson ’73 died on June 14, 2015, in his sleep of a cardiac arrest at his home in Roland Park, Maryland. Tom came to Dartmouth from Manson (Iowa) Community High School. At the College he met his future wife, Dorothy Snow ’76, and they both later pursued careers in medicine. Tom earned a doctorate in pathology and a medical degree from the University of Maryland. After completing his residency in internal medicine at University of Maryland Medical Center Tom began working at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore as a member of the internal medicine teaching faculty. He later moved into the field of geriatrics and palliative medicine, working with colleagues at Medstar Good Samaritan and Union Memorial hospitals to provide palliative care service for patients at the end of their lives. Tom enjoyed country music, watching the Orioles and the Ravens play, working on his family’s farm and making maple syrup. He was an Alumni Fund volunteer and a regional agent from 1995 to 2002. Tom is survived by his former wife and lifelong companion, Dorothy, daughter Grace ’09, three sisters and four brothers, including Charles’70.
