Thomas Merton DeWitt ’57

Thomas Merton DeWitt ’57 passed away on September 7, 2011. He had been living in Eden, Vermont, at the time of his death. He came to Dartmouth from Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, having graduated from Wyoming Seminary. While at Dartmouth he majored in government, was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and was active in the Pre Law Club, WDBS and the Film Society. Tom received his LL.B. in 1960 from Dickinson School of Law. He practiced law with Hobbs, Morgan and DeWitt beginning in 1961 and was a member of the Wyoming County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He also served as president of the Wyoming County Welfare Board, the Tunkhannock Community Ambulance Association, and the Tunkhannock Film Society. Tom is survived by his wife, Pam.
