Stewart McClellan Rose ’52

Stewart McClellan Rose ’52, M.D., died on August 7, 2014, we have recently learned. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on September 21, 1930, and came to Dartmouth after graduating from University High School in Columbus, Ohio, where the family had moved in his early years. Stewart did not graduate from Dartmouth, but he was a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1955. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta and Phi Chi medical fraternity, president of the staff of OhioHealth Riverside and president of the Central Ohio Heart Association. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ellen, daughters Elizabeth (and her husband, Richard) and Katherine, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
