Stephen L. Zaslow ’57

Stephen L. Zaslow ’57, M.D., died at home in Manatee, Florida, on February 19, 2015. Steve came to Dartmouth from Millwood High School in Brooklyn, New York. At Dartmouth he was premed and a member of Tau Epsilon Phi, Alpha Kappa Kappa, Phi Beta Kappa and the rowing club. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1960. Steve was a psychiatrist with a private practice. He served on the faculties of the Nassau County Medical Center Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, Adelphi University, William Alanson White Institute and State University of New York at Stony Brook. From 1973 to 1980 he served as director of children’s services and director of psychiatric services at Peninsula Counseling Center. He finished his career in private practice and, in his own words, “morphed into a grandfatherly professor-therapist.” Steve leaves children Melissa ’85, Eric ’89 and Emily.
