Stanley Pratt Clark Jr. ’54

Stanley Pratt Clark Jr. ’54 passed away on September 23, 2014, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Homecare and Hospice in Auburn, Maine. Stan came to Dartmouth from Windsor, Connecticut. He attended Westminster School. At Dartmouth Stan was a brother of Beta Theta Pi and a history major. He was a member of the football team. He served in the U.S. Army and received his M.B.A. from New York University Graduate School of Business. Stan’s career was in the steel business. He spent many years with Ryerson Steel and then with Phoenix Steel Corp. as eastern district sales manager. In 1979 he became VP of sales for an Italian steel consortium. Stan lived for many years in Westfield, New Jersey. He retired in 1990 and in 2012 moved to Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Stan is survived by his wife, Charlon, son Brooks and daughter Cathryn. Son Bayard predeceased him.
