Robert J. Flood Jr. ’54

Robert J. Flood Jr. ’54 passed away on September 20, 2014, at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Bob came to Dartmouth from Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. He graduated from Tabor Academy. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Zeta Psi and an economics major. He was a member of the Glee Club and played lacrosse. Bob received his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan School of Business in 1958. He had served in the U.S. Army. He began his professional career as the assistant controller and manager of the Detroit Marine Terminal. He then was controller of Vanderbush Industrial Corp. and finally controller of Michigan Chrome and Chemical Co. Bob was a member and former director of the Kiwanis Club, a member and former president of the Grosse Pointe Youth Hockey Association and a precinct delegate for Grosse Point. He was a member of the Detroit Dartmouth club. He is survived by children David, Christopher, Jennifer, Elizabeth and Pamela.
