Robert F. Merritt ’52

Robert F. Merritt ’52 passed away on February 7, 2009, in Greenwich, Connecticut. He was originally from Port Chester, New York, graduated from Kimball Union Academy and attended Dartmouth for three years. He was then drafted into the U.S. Army and did not return to the College. After the service and an early try at the family insurance business Bob turned to the field of writing for business publications and worked for Arnold Bakers in Greenwich for a number of years in a variety of assignments. He also spent some time in the Southwest before returning to Greenwich to work for Greenwich Associates as a report editor until he retired. His main interests outside business included the theater, bridge and helping the underprivileged. He never married and left no family.
