Richard Walker Mallary ’49

Richard Walker Mallary ’49 died on September 27, 2011, at his home in Brookfield, Vermont. Dick came to Dartmouth from Bradford (Vermont) High School. His career encompassed 20 years as a dairy farmer, 10 as a Vermont legislator and three representing Vermont as a Republican Congressman. After leaving Congress in 1975, Dick spent three years as secretary of administration for Vermont and then served as CEO of Vermont Electric Power Co. He leaves his wife, Jean, four children and three stepchildren.
