Richard Norvel Moersch ’49

Richard Norvel Moersch ’49 died on May 31, 2013, in Redlands, California, where he lived. Dick grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, and came to Dartmouth from Deerfield (Minnesota) Academy. Dick was a track star at Dartmouth. He spent most of his career as a heart surgeon in San Bernardino, California. One of the class’s top travelers, Dick scaled Kilimanjaro, went 20,000 feet up Mount Everest, reached the North Pole and rode camels in the Sahara. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, and children Margaret and Peter.
