Richard Frank Waddey ’49
Richard Frank Waddey ’49 died on September 26, 2011, in Nashville, Tennessee, where he lived. Dick came to Dartmouth from Bethesda (Maryland) High School and majored in physics. At the peak of his career he was considered the world’s foremost authority in underwater defense systems, and worked closely with top-level defense and intelligence officials. Dick is survived by his son Ralph and two stepsons.
