Richard Francis Kuhns Jr. ’45

Richard Francis Kuhns Jr. ’45 died in New York City September 6, 2010. He entered Dartmouth from Highland Park High School and was Phi Beta Kappa and in the Handel Society. He was a member of the 84th Infantry Division in Europe during WW II from 1942 until 1946. He married Margaret Portis in Chicago on June 5, 1944. She survives him along with their son Frederick and two grandchildren. He was a professor of philosophy at Columbia University, having received his Ph.D. from Columbia in 1955.
