Raymond E. Smith ’52

Raymond E. Smith ’52 of Toledo, Ohio, passed away in Toledo on May 26. The cause of death was prostate cancer. Ray came to Dartmouth after graduating from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo. Little is known about him, and our records do not indicate that he graduated with the class of 1952. He was in the U.S. Army after leaving Dartmouth and then he worked for several years for a bank in Toledo. In 1960 he moved to New York City, where he worked for Standard and Poor’s Corp. and for Smith Barney. He later returned to Toledo. He did not marry and is survived by two sisters.
