Ray E. Bolin Jr. ’52

Ray E. Bolin Jr. ’52 passed away on May 16, 2014, of cancer. Ray graduated from John Burroughs School in Clayton, Missouri, and Dartmouth. At Dartmouth Ray was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and majored in sociology. He then attended the University of Missouri, Columbia. He joined the newly formed Mobay Chemical Co. (Monsanto/Bayer) as a research chemist exploring polyurethane products. Later he joined Monsanto’s textile division and retired from his family-owned business, St. Louis Crystal Water Co. in 1991. He is survived by son James, daughter-in-law Leslie and grandchildren Andrew, Brian and David. He was predeceased by son Robert.
