Phillip Myron Elbert ’53

Phillip Myron Elbert ’53 died unexpectedly on August 11, 2009, in the Oak Park (Illinois) Hospital. Phil came to Dartmouth from Proviso Township High School, then living in Maywood, Illinois. He roomed with classmates Dick Conn and the late Sock Sennie, who was a high school classmate. Phil was with us during our freshman year and then left to eventually pursue a successful career in banking and real estate. Those who had the chance to get to know him will never forget a young man who introduced us to the high school athletic “hero jacket” and was full of fun and friendship. On behalf of the class we send Phil’s family our deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences. We have all lost a good one.
