Philip A. Clark ’60
Philip A. Clark ’60, a resident of Annapolis, Maryland, died of natural causes on January 10, 2015. Phil was born October 13, 1938, in Great Falls, Montana, and was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sacramento, California. He graduated from El Camino High School in 1956 and received his A.B. from Dartmouth. Some of his accomplishments include being named to the New Jersey Distinguished Citizen’s Gallery in 1965 and earning the Rumson (New Jersey) Jaycees Key Man Award in 1967 and Outstanding Young Men of America Award in 1967. He was president of Parents without Partners (1978), a million-dollar salesperson for Champion Realty (1988), vice president (1988) and president (1996) of his local community association. He retired from the University of Maryland in 2005. In 1964 he married Susan, who predeceased him. He married Geraldine in 1982, and they lived in Severna Park, Maryland, for 27 years before moving to Annapolis. He was active in the Severna Park community, including with the local Meals on Wheels and the Arnold Senior Citizen’s Center. He enjoyed playing poker and watching the Orioles, Ravens and Redskins. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard “Dutch” and Louise. Survivors include Geraldine; daughter Katherine; stepchildren Mike, Kevin, Patrick and Kathy; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
