Peter H. Bixby ’51
Peter H. Bixby ’51 died on January 19, 2012. He had been a longtime New Jersey resident, living most recently in Brielle. He is survived by four sons and 12 grandchildren. His wife, Audrey, predeceased him. Pete was a Tuck-Thayer graduate and a member of Sigma Nu at Dartmouth. Following graduation he served for two years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a geological process expert with a particular specialty in the processing of talc. He designed and developed several talc processes and plants and later served as president of the American Talc Co. and Resource Processing Co. In retirement he consulted in his specialty. Pete and Audrey were stalwarts in their church, first in Madison and later in Brielle. He was ordained as an elder and a deacon and served on the consistory. He was also an active volunteer at the local YMCA and United Way.
