Peter Campbell Thompson ’55

Peter Campbell Thompson ’55 died of a stroke on January 3. Peter came to Dartmouth from Providence, Rhode Island, via Deerfield Academy. He joined Phi Gamma Delta and was especially active in alumni affairs, being our head agent for five years and serving on various college and class committees. After serving in the Army for two years Peter turned to banking and investments, becoming CEO of David L. Babson & Co. He served as treasurer of the Boston Museum of Science and found time to devote to fishing. He is survived by his wife, Joan, two sons and four grandchildren.
