Perry Parsons Craver ’44

Perry Parsons Craver ’44 died at his home in Kennebunk, Maine, February 12 following a brief period of failing health. Perry came to Dartmouth from Vermont Academy and served in the Army Air Corps as a pilot, completing 50 missions. He worked for American Airlines after his discharge and briefly for Naugatuck Chemicals before buying a small Western Auto store in Laconia, New Hampshire, which he operated for more than 30 years. He served his community as city councilor, Boy Scout leader and member of the local Dartmouth club. After moving to Kennebunk he continued to serve his new community through his activities in the Congregational Church of Kennebunkport and the local senior center. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, and five children.
