Robert Carl Smith Jr. ’49 died on September 19, 2017. Bob, who lived in Intervale, New Hampshire, came to Dartmouth from Swampscott (Massachusetts) High School. He spent his career in the utilities business, finishing as president of New England Power Service Co. Bob enjoyed golf, skiing, and travel. He is survived by son Robert ’81 and daughters Susan ’83, Patricia, and Meredith.
