David Gordon Browder ’67 died in October 2025, of AL amyloidosis in his lifelong home of Missoula, Montana. Dave came to the College from Andover and Exeter, majored in physics, and graduated early to attend the University of Washington in a Ph.D. program at the age of 20. While there, he completed all the coursework in physics, astronomy, psychology, and forestry and then began a long career with the U.S. Forest Service as a computer programmer and mathematician. Dave was an exceptional polymath. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolly; daughters Amanda and Vanessa; and younger brothers Tom and Jim.
